FESCO flowback services often require flowing abrasive material through our pressure control equipment and piping during millouts, frac flowbacks, etc. Our Metallurgical Department monitors the structural integrity of our pipe and equipment after abrasive service using ultra-sonic thickness meters. Pipe or connections worn and weakened by abrasive flow are identified and removed from service.
We also inspect pipe integrity at client facilities and sites. All inspections follow current regulatory mandates and client guidelines. A summary report contains the detail findings of each inspected piping component. For routine and repeated equipment checks, we offer data trending to help our clients manage equipment inspection results, predict equipment end-of-life and plan for its replacement. Several customers have been able to identify and remedy design flaws or material weaknesses which reduced product liabiity and lowered repair costs.
