As an integral member of the Accounting Team, the Corporate CPA/Accountant will assist with the full accounting cycle, ensuring the application of sound accounting practices.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and supporting financial information.
  • Prepare daily journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations; prepare and analyze. monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements and management reports accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Perform month-end procedures.
  • Assist in meeting Tax Compliance including Annual Corporate Tax Filings.
  • Complete monthly cash flow analysis.
  • Reconcile all corporate banking transactions.
  • Prepare property tax renditions.
  • Analyze and maintain property tax statements annually.
  • Record and maintain fixed assets purchases and applicable depreciation and amortization.

Schedules:

  • Record and maintain monthly lease schedules and preparation of lease payments.
  • Respond to various requests from external/internal auditors.
  • Ensure GAAP are being adhered to appropriately.
  • Required to understand, guide and implement effective internal controls to meet FESCO, Ltd. requirements.
  • Other corporate accounting duties or supervision of duties as assigned

  • The CPA/Accountant will be under the direct supervision of the Controller

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements: (Meet at least 1 of the following)

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting.
  • Certified Public Accountant.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting/financial reporting.

Physical Requirements:

This job operates in a clerical office setting. The role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets requiring standing, bending, stooping, twisting and turning.
