FESCO PVT lab technicians and engineering staff provide
a complete suite of standard PVT fluid studies and field
sampling services. PVT fluid studies can be performed on
recombined surface separator samples or subsurface reservoir
samples. All reservoir fluid studies include sample conditioning,
sample quality checks, sample compositional analysis, physical
sample recombination of surface samples to the produced GOR
or a specified saturation pressure and temperature (if applicable),
and saturation pressure (dew point (DP) or bubble point (BP))
determination at reservoir temperature via Constant Composition
Expansion (CCE). All black and volatile oil studies include
measured oil viscosity and separator tests on the reservoir
fluid. Black oil studies additionally include a Differential
Liberation test to model production below the BP pressure.
Volatile oil and retrograde gas studies additionally include
a Constant Volume Depletion test to model production below
the saturation pressure (BP or DP).
FESCO laboratory and production testing personnel are fully
trained to catch all surface samples required for PVT study.
FESCO also offers single-phase subsurface sampling services
for fluids up to 15000 psi and 350 °F and well site transfer
of collected samples to transfer cylinders at reservoir temperature.
