FESCO's Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Policy Statement
FESCO, Ltd. commits to achieving and maintaining excellence in
all aspects of its operations. FESCO, Ltd. recognizes and accepts
the mandate to conduct its operations in a safe and responsible
manner. FESCO, Ltd. will provide a work system that protects the
health and safety of its employees, visitors, and the public while
concurrently minimizing the impact of its activities on the environment.
FESCO vests the accountability for achieving these objectives
in the appropriate level of its District Management. Achieving
excellence in our business and work environment requires the commitment
and cooperation of all management, staff, and visitors.
In support of this Policy, FESCO, Ltd. will:
- Promote and maintain high awareness of workplace hazards,
the risks associated with them and the available techniques that
reasonably
minimize these risks.
- Encourage the development, implementation and use of industry
best practices.
- Set objectives, regularly review performance and recognize
excellence.
- Maintain an incident reporting system that allows analysis
of losses and/or potential losses and facilitates dissemination
of
recommendations designed to prevent reoccurrence within the
company.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections.
- Ensure its business
operations eliminate or minimize adverse impact on the environment
through prevention, conservation
and continuously improving best practices. This can be
achieved in
part by reducing, reusing, recycling, treating and/or
disposing waste in an environmentally friendly manner.
In support of this Policy, all FESCO employees will:
- Comply with relevant standards specified by government statue,
industry and/or the company.
- Help the company achieve its stated goals and targets by
actively participating and contributing to the planning process.
- Actively participate in the reporting and subsequent investigation
of all accidents, incidents, hazards and near misses that may
potentially impact company operations.
- Accept responsibility for protecting themselves, visitors,
and members of the public who may be affected by their activities.
- Consistently maintain a high level of environmental impact
awareness.
- Ensure their conduct does not adversely impact the environment.
